Market of organisation

This has evolved to refer to 'Art Organisation'. Would anyone care to offer a rationale? Me, I can see it as an opportunity to challenge the structure of public bodies, 'by' as opposed to 'for' the public, lobbying for an awkward, labour-intensive but the richer for it, justified-by-the-means alternative. Art is business, but i'd still like to see a place for business (I naively assume it to be rich seam).--Trevor 21:28, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Trevor, I agree. I might have overdone the balance, but I'm always interested to implicate art, and its institutions -public and private- in what we do. I'll try t re-tweak the proposal......--Neil 15:08, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

I still would prefer to see this as an exploration of modes of organisation and not disconnect art from other 'bodies' it is linked to/with and it takes as models. How is a commercial gallery organised in relation to a supermarket? Is an artists' collective studio similar in any way to a union? Or is it closer to a cooperative? If neither, should 'it' learn from those different modes of association and structuring??? I feel that putting such different models side by side into the same market could be very productive. I have tweaked again to widen, hoping it works for you guys too. --Cinzia 10:46, 4 July 2008 (UTC)

'World' Cultural Summit

How do these dynamic compare with the redistributing efforts of food and resources for survival? Does this refer to aid?--Trevor 14:09, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

I thought that was somehow implied in the way Kuba worded his suggestion. If Neil still has the text, it would be good to re-visit it ... Or not! What do we want it to be? --Cinzia 08:37, 7 July 2008 (UTC)

Deschool or Self-School

Maybe interesting to learn more about support for deschool. It's anti-expert so what qualitative standards are there? Drawing parallels to Open Source - what's good about it? what's worth sampling in terms of 'social code'?
